MEET REPORT : Woden Development Meet & Distance Meet

We had 20 Sharks compete at the Woden Development Meet held at the AIS on Sunday, 26 June 2016 including: Tessa, Emily, Patrick C, Alexis, Olivia, Brooke, Maddison, Kurt, Jake, Kiara, Nicholas, Katie S, Alexey, Imogen, Natasha, Rebecca, Eric, Andy, Angela and Yaroslav.  Oliver’s little brother Lewis also competed at the meet.  Everyone should be very proud of their efforts on the day as there were some fantastic results including:

• Tessa achieved a 1.54 second PB in her 50m Backstroke; a 0.33 second PB in her 50m Breaststroke and a HUGE 11.53 second PB in her 50m Butterfly.
• Emily achieved 2^nd Place with a 0.47 second PB in her 25m Backstroke; 1^st Place with a 2.36 second PB in her 50m Freestyle; 3^rd Place in her 50m Breaststroke and 2^nd Place in her 50m Butterfly.
• Patrick C achieved 2^nd Place with a 4.14 second PB in his 100m Breaststroke; 1^st Place in his 50m Freestyle; 1^st Place with a 1.19 second PB in his 50m Breaststroke; 1^st Place in his 100m Individual Medley; and 1^st Place with a 1.08 second PB in his 50m Butterfly.
• Alexis achieved 1^st Place with an enormous 57.75 second PB in her 200m Butterfly.
• Olivia competed in her first SC 50m Freestyle; 50m Breaststroke placing 3^rd; and 100m Freestyle placing 1^st.
• Brooke competed in her first SC 100m Breaststroke placing 1^st; achieved 1^st Place with a 0.87 second PB in her 50m Backstroke; 1^st Place with a 0.33 second PB in her 100m Backstroke and competed in her first SC 50m Breaststroke placing 2^nd.
• Maddison achieved a 0.74 second PB in her 50m Backstroke; 2^nd Place in her 50m Freestyle and 2^nd Place in her 100m Freestyle.
• Kurt competed in his first SC 200m Individual Medley and 100m Butterfly placing 1^st in both.
• Jake achieved 1^st Place with a HUGE 6.56 second PB in his 100m Butterfly; and 1^st Place with a HUGE 9.09 second PB in his 100m Individual Medley.  Jake was our only Shark in the Distance Meet and competed for the first time in the 400m SC Individual Medley and achieved 3rd Place.   Well done Jake!
• Kiara competed in her first SC 200m Breaststroke placing 1^st; achieved 3^rd Place with a 3.39 second PB in her 100m Individual Medley; and 1^st Place in her 200m Freestyle.
• Nicholas achieved 1^st Place with a 0.08 second PB in his 50m Backstroke; 1^st Place in his 200m Breaststroke; 2^nd Place with a 0.17 second PB in his 50m Freestyle; 1^st Place in his 50m Breaststroke; and 3^rd Place with a 4.16 second PB in his 50m Butterfly.
• Katie S achieved 3^rd Place in her 100m Backstroke.
• Alexey achieved 1^st Place with a 0.37 second PB in his 50m Backstroke; 1^st Place with a 2.59 second PB in his 50m Freestyle and competed in his first SC 25m Breaststroke.
• Imogen achieved 2^nd Place with a HUGE 5.29 second PB in her 50m Backstroke; 1^st Place in her 50m Freestyle; a 3.02 second PB in her 50m Breaststroke; and a 4.30 second PB in her 100m Individual Medley.
• Natasha achieved 3^rd Place with a 3.97 second PB in her 50m Backstroke; 2^nd Place with a HUGE 8.50 second PB in her 100m Backstroke; 3^rd Place with a 1.85 second PB in her 50m Breaststroke; and 3^rd Place with a HUGE 5.72 second PB in her 50m Butterfly.
• Rebecca competed in her first SC 50m Backstroke and 50m Freestyle and achieved 3^rd Place in both; 3^rd Place in her 50m Breaststroke; 1^st Place with a HUGE 5.60 second PB in her 25m Butterfly.
• Eric achieved 3^rd Place with a 3.22 second PB in his 50m Backstroke; 3^rd Place with a 0.70 second PB in his 50m Freestyle; 1^st Place with a 1.36 second PB in his 50m Breaststroke; 2^nd Place with a 3.55 second PB in his 100m Individual Medley and 2^nd Place in his 50m Butterfly.
• Andy achieved 1^st Place with a 0.88 second PB in his 50m Backstroke; 3^rd Place in his 50m Freestyle and 3^rd Place in his 50m Breaststroke.
• Angela competed in her first SC 50m Freestyle and 50m Breaststroke.
• Yaroslav competed in his first SC 200m Backstroke placing 1^st and is now the new 10yo Boys Woden Record Holder for this event.
• Lewis (Oliver’s little brother) competed in his very first sc meet and achieved 2nd Place in his 25m Backstroke; 2nd Place in his 25m Breaststroke; and 2nd Place in his 25m Freestyle.  Well done Lewis!!
