MEET REPORT : 2017 ACT Winter Distance Meet #4

We had 8 very talented Sharks compete at the 2017 ACT Winter Distance Meet #4 held on Sunday, 20 August 2017 at the AIS.   CONGRATULATIONS Amy, Olivia H, Kurt, Jake M, Kiara, Jake N, Benjamin and Yaroslav and THANKYOU Coach Steve for mentoring and supporting our team.

• AMY competed in the 400m Freestyle, achieving 4th Place.
• OLIVIA competed in the 800m Freestyle for the first time, achieving 4th Place.
• KURT competed in the 200m Backstroke for the first time, achieving 3rd Place and qualifying for the Speedo NSW State 10yrs & Under 12yrs SC Championships; and the 400m Freestyle, achieving 8th Place with a 0.59 second PB.
• JAKE M competed in the 400m Individual Medley, achieving 1st Place.
• KIARA competed in the 400m Freestyle for the first time, achieving 10th Place.
• JAKE N competed in the 400m Individual Medley for the first time, achieving 6th Place.
• BENJAMIN competed in the 800m Freestyle, achieving 3rd Place with an ENORMOUS 43.01 second PB.
• YAROSLAV competed in the 400m Freestyle for the first time, achieving 3rd Place and breaking the Woden Swim Club SC Boys 11yrs Record (previously held since 16/06/13); and the 200m Breaststroke, achieving 2nd Place with an ENORMOUS 37.65 second PB, breaking the Woden Swim Club SC Boys 11yrs Record (previously held since 23/06/07) and qualifying for the Speedo NSW State 10yrs & Under 12yrs SC Championships.
