We had 6 Sharks compete at the Queanbeyan Leagues Swimming Club Twilight Carnival held at the Queanbeyan Pool on Friday and Saturday evenings, 9 & 10 February 2018. It was a fantastic meet with amazing rainbows, stunning sunsets, numerous medals and PBs achieved. CONGRATULATIONS and WELL DONE Liam, Olivia H, Jonah, Jake N, Isabel and Charlotte. THANK YOU Coach Jasmine for your mentoring and support throughout the meet and THANK YOU to Isabel’s Mum Kelly, who represented our Club in an officiating role (Marshalling) and to the parents who volunteered for time keeping.
LIAM competed in four events, including:-
- Boys 10 Years & Under 50m LC Backstroke, achieving 4th Place;
- Boys 10 Years & Under 100m LC Butterfly;
- Boys 10 Years & Under 100m LC Freestyle, achieving 4th Place; and
- Boys 10 &ears & Under 50m LC Freestyle, achieving 5th Place.
OLIVIA H competed in five events, including:-
- Girls 15 Years & Over 50m LC Freestyle, achieving a BRONZE MEDAL;
- Girls 15 Years & Over 50m LC Butterfly, achieving a BRONZE MEDAL with a 3.92 second PB
- Girls 15 Years & Over 400m LC Freestyle, achieving a GOLD MEDAL with a HUGE 7.71 second PB;
- Girls 15 Years & Over 100m LC Freestyle, achieving a BRONZE MEDAL with a 2.30 second PB; and
- Girls 15 Years & Over 50m LC Freestyle, achieving a SILVER MEDAL;
JONAH competed in three events with a 100% PB RATE, including:-
- Boys 13-14 Years 50m LC Backstroke for the first time, entering on his Short Course time, achieving a BRONZE MEDAL with a 1.23 second PB;
- Boys 13-14 Years 50m LC Breaststroke for the first time, entering on his Short Course time, achieving a BRONZE MEDAL with a HUGE 6.02 second PB; and
- Boys 13-14 Years 50m LC Freestyle for the first time, entering on his Short Course time, achieving 6th Place with a 1.92 second PB.
JAKE N competed in four events, including:-
- Boys 13-14 Years 50m LC Freestyle, achieving a BRONZE MEDAL with a 0.11 second PB;
- Boys 13-14 Years 200m LC Individual Medley, achieving 4th Place;
- Boys 13-14 Years 50m LC Breaststroke, achieving 7th Place with a 0.46 second PB; and
- Boys 13-14 Years 100m LC Breaststroke, achieving a GOLD MEDAL with a 1.0 second PB.
ISABEL competed in six events, including:-
- Girls 11-12 Years 50m LC Freestyle achieving 9th Place with a 2.29 second PB;
- Girls 11-12 Years 100m LC Backstroke, achieving 8th Place with a 0.54 second PB;
- Girls 11-12 Years 200m LC Individual Medley, achieving a GOLD MEDAL;
- Girls 11-12 Years 50m LC Breaststroke, achieving 8th Place with a 1.19 second PB;
- Girls 11-12 Years 100m LC Freestyle, achieving 12th Place with a 1.53 second PB; and
- Girls 11-12 Years 100m LC Breaststroke, achieving 6th Place with an ENORMOUS 12.99 second PB.
CHARLOTTE competed in two events, including:-
- Girls 10 Years & Under 50m LC Breaststroke, achieving a BRONZE MEDAL; and
- Girls 10 Years & Under 50m LC Breaststroke, achieving a SILVER MEDAL with a 0.37 second PB.
