More than 1700 swimmers from 296 clubs, from every State in Australia as well as a host of visiting swimmers including a team from New Zealand and an 18yo from Greece, will compete in at the 2016 Georgina Hope Foundation Australian Age Swimming Championships in Adelaide. The eight-day meet with daily sessions of heats and finals started today and will continue through to Monday April 4. You can watch it live: Watch the Live Stream

Day 1 of competition saw Jarrod, Ethan and Jake compete:
- Jarrod competed in the Boys 14yo 200m Individual Medley; placing 3rd in his heat with a 4.0 second PB and placing 8th in the FINALS with another PB. Jarrod also competed in the Boys 14yo 100m Butterfly placing 7th in his heat, 17th overall with a 1.33 second PB. (You can watch Jarrod’s heats at 1:22.14 and 3:06.00 and his Final at 0:48.45).
- Ethan competed in the Boys 14yo 200m Individual Medley, placing 6th in his heat, 16th overall with a PB. (You can watch Ethan’s heat at 1:19:19).
- Jake competed in the Boys 12–13yo 200m Breaststroke, placing 7th in his heat, 15th overall with a 3.19 second PB. (You can watch Jake’s heat at 3:31.14)
