WVSC are very excited toannounce that we will have the Woden Valley Swim Club Masters program formally starting on Tuesday 22 February at 6am.
In the lead up to this we have a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a WVSC Masters member – next week’s sessions will be a free, so come along and try!
The free sessions will be: 6.00am Tuesday 15.02 and Thu 17.02 and 10am Sat 19.02. These sessions will allow you to get in the water and experience what we have to offer.
The Masters program will be Coached by Steve Meredith who is accredited as an Advanced Coach with ASCTA, Steve has been part of the Woden family since 2016 when he started as our head coach. In 2020 Steve took a step back from head coach but has remained an important part of the club and has always been there to support our swimmers. He is excited to be able to help the Club and Y offer this program.
Masters squad sessions will be:
* Tuesday 6am to 7.30am
* Thursday 6am to 7.30am
* Saturday 10am to 11.30am for February – likely to revert to 9am to 10.30 in March TBC
The fees for the Masters squad are:
* $140 annual Masters Membership, via Masters NSW, this includes WVSC Membership fees.
* Stromlo Leisure Centre Y Masters Squad membership of $81 per F/N – this provides 6 x 1.5 hr sessions per F/N and 7 days a week access to the pool (except public holiday closures)
* Also, if interested in utilising the Gym, we have negotiated a 30% discount on the SLC Gym Membership making it an additional $29.80 per F/N (full price is $43 per F/N) this fee is on top of the Y Masters Squad fees.
If as part of the come and try week you decide to join the program, all you need to do is let our President, Marcus, know via wvscpresident@wodenswimclub.org.au and an email package with all the things we need to do to get you setup.
