MEET REPORT : Speedo Sprint Series (Heats)

We had a fantastic turnout at the Speedo Sprint Series Heats with 18 amazing Sharks competing at the Tuggeranong Pool on Sunday, 4 February 2018.  CONGRATULATIONS and WELL DONE  Liam, Oliver, Quinn, Olivia G, Lewis, Ella, Hugh, Jessica, Kurt, Kiara, Genevieve, James, Libby, Imogen, Caitlin, Gabriel, Joshua and Charlotte.  THANK YOU Coach Jasmine for your mentoring and support throughout the day.

LIAM competed in all four events:-

  • Boys 10 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 8th Place;
  • Boys 10 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 12th Place‘;
  • Boys 10 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 7th Place with a 2.71 second PB; and
  • Boys 10 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 8th Place with a 0.43 second PB.

OLIVER competed in three events with a 100% PB Rate:-

  • Boys 12 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 9th Place with a 2.47 second PB
  • Boys 12 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 6th Place with a 0.61 second PB; and
  • Boys 12 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 8th Place with a 0.11 second PB.

QUINN competed in three events with a 100% PB Rate:-

  • Boys 10 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 11th Place with a 2.15 second PB;
  • Boys 10 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 9th Place with a 3.44 second PB; and
  • Boys 10 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 9th Place with a 2.96 second PB.

OLIVIA G competed in three events:-

  • Girls 9 Years 50m Breaststroke for the first time, achieving 11th Place;
  • Girls 9 Years 50m Backstroke for the first time, achieving 12th Place; and
  • Girls 9 Years 50m Freestyle for the first time, achieving 13th Place.

LEWIS competed in three events:-

  • Boys 8 Years & Under 50m Breaststroke, achieving 2nd Place, with a 4.08 second PB;
  • Boys 8 Years & Under 50m Backstroke, achieving 2nd Place; and
  • Boys 8 Years & Under 50m Freestyle, achieving 2nd Place with a 2.50 second PB.

ELLA competed in three events:-

  • Girls 11 Years 50m Breaststroke for the first time, achieving 19th Place;
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Backstroke for the first time, achieving 20th Place; and
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Freestyle for the first time, achieving 19th Place.

HUGH competed in three events:-

  • Boys 11 Years 50m Breaststroke for the first time, achieving 9th Place;
  • Boys 11 Years 50m Backstroke for the first time, achieving 10th Place; and
  • Boys 11 Years 50m Freestyle for the first time, achieving 12th Place.

JESSICA competed in all events with a 100% PB Rate:-

  • Girls 11 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 1st Place with a 4.63 second PB;
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 3rd Place with a 1.96 second PB;
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 4th Place with a 1.06 second PB; and
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 3rd Place with a 0.47 second PB.

KURT competed in three events:-

  • Boys 11 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 1st Place;
  • Boys 11 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 2nd Place with a 0.29 second PB; and
  • Boys 11 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 1st Place.

KIARA competed in three events:-

  • Girls 12 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 2nd Place;
  • Girls 12 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 4th Place; and
  • Girls 12 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 4th Place.

GENEVIEVE competed in two events with a 100% PB Rate:-

  • Girls 9 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 3rd Place with a 4.31 second PB; and
  • Girls 9 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 8th Place with a 0.69 second PB.

JAMES competed in three events:-

  • Boys 11 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 5th Place;
  • Boys 11 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 5th Place; and
  • Boys 11 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 6th Place.

LIBBY competed in all four events:-

  • Girls 9 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 10th Place;
  • Girls 9 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 8th Place with a 0.66 second PB;
  • Girls 9 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 10th Place; and
  • Girls 9 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 9th Place.

IMOGEN competed in all four events:-

  • Girls 11 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 16th Place with a 0.83 second PB;
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 17th Place with a 1.36 second PB;
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 13th Place; and
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 15th Place.

CAITLIN competed in all four events with a 100% PB Rate:-

  • Girls 11 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 14th Place with a 4.50 second PB;
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 12th Place with a 1.25 second PB;
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 8th Place with a 1.62 second PB; and
  • Girls 11 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 13th Place with a 2.07 second PB.

GABRIEL competed in three events:-

  • Boys 10 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 14th Place;
  • Boys 10 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 13th Place with a HUGE 5.18 second PB; and
  • Boys 10 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 14th Place.

JOSHUA competed in three events:-

  • Boys 10 Years 50m Breaststroke;
  • Boys 10 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 14th Place with a 2.61 second PB; and
  • Boys 10 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 15th Place with a 1.70 second PB.

CHARLOTTE competed in all four events:-

  • Girls 9 Years 50m Breaststroke for the first time, achieving 1st Place;
  • Girls 9 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 11th Place;
  • Girls 9 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 11th Place; and
  • Girls 9 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 11th Place.
