A huge congratulation goes out to our Woden Shark Swimmers who recently competed at SOPAC, in Sydney, at the 2024 NSW SC Country Championships, 5th-7th July. WVSC had 28 swimmers competing and we archived great results by winning 22 Medals: 15 Gold, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze, and a 70% PB success rate.

Of special highlight is James Biddington, for his outstanding achievement when he broke a 13-year standing SNSW Country Record in the 50m Backstroke! Well done, James!
By Gold Medal score, WVSC got 3rd place from 81 Clubs who competed in NSW Country! Well done for this fantastic achievement!

Also, two Swimmers 13 years old that competed in the 13-14 years, placed in their age group: Riley B 13 was 1st in 50m/100m Backstroke and Lucas S 13 was 3rd in 50m Backstroke!

- Men 13-14 , 4 x 50m Free Relay- 4th Campbell, Callum, Lucas & Hamish
- Women 9-12, 4 x 50m Medley Relay- 9th Annie, Emily, Madi, Aimee
- Men 9-12, 4 x 50m Medley Relay- 10th Auguste, Stefan, Ian, Kai

Over the course of the weekend there was great team spirit and some time for socialising. A fantastic weekend for swimmers and families. Everyone is looking forward to upcoming state championships and of course Summer Country Champs, next February.
