Hi Sharks and families,
We have our June club night coming up on Friday the 24th. Warm-up will be from 4.30pm and racing will commence at 5pm sharp.
This meet will be run short course and times will be official (as long as we get enough volunteers and timekeepers). The short course format means that the we will have a 100IM. For those swimmers who want a 200m event, we will also be running 200m events in all strokes at the end of the program. These will be swum as a single event so swimmers may only enter one 200m event. Please pick the appropriate event number (in session 2) for the 200m stroke you wish to swim in Swim Central when entering.
There is a maximum of 4 events per swimmer and you cannot enter a 25 and 50m event in the same stroke. For those with times under 30 seconds (35 seconds for breaststroke) for 25m please give the 50m event a go. Entries may not be accepted for 25m events if you are significantly under 30 seconds or have achieved a time under this mark more than once. As usual there will be 25/50/100 m events in all strokes.

- 11 Mixed 25 Backstroke
- 12 Mixed 50 Backstroke
- 13 Mixed 100 Freestyle
- 14 Mixed 200 Freestyle
- 15 Mixed 200 Backstroke
- 16 Mixed 200 Breaststroke
- 17 Mixed 200 Butterfly
For all our new swimmers, and those getting into racing, come along and give it a go! Club meets are a fun and supportive environment to try new events and distances and practice your racing.

Unregistered siblings are also welcome, please email our club night coordinator, Karinda, at: wvsc.clubnight@wodenswimclub.org.au with your swimmer’s name, DOB and the events they would like to enter.
All Masters swimmers are also welcome. If you aren’t on Swim Central please also email the above details to Karinda and we will put an entry in for you.
Entries close next Wednesday 22 June at 7pm. No late entries please! If you have any issues with entering via Swim Central please email Karinda asap and we will sort it out.
As always, we cannot run club meets without volunteers! A duty roster is available via Team App or you can contact Karinda or Nic (wvscracesecretary@wodenswimclub.org.au) to let us know what you’d like to help out with. Most roles require no experience or training and if you’d like to try a new role, let us know in advance and we can organise some training and/or mentoring during the meet.
This post will be updated with the entry list for checking (Wednesday the 22nd after entries close) and the seeded program and timeline (Thursday the 23rd). Please check back here for those documents if you haven’t received them via email from the race secretary. We are having issues with our email servers sending out bulk emails so documents will be added to this post when available for your convenience.
There is unlikely to be a club night held in July due to other meets, and school holidays, so we are looking forward to seeing many of you on Friday the 24th!
