It was great to see so many back in the water after our Covid lockdown break. We had a total of 54 swimmers in the water with a few guests from Canberra, Vikings and a handful of younger siblings, plus 48 Woden Sharks, some competing for the first time!
This was our first long course club night and we hope swimmers enjoyed a chance to swim long course in a club meet. There was an impressive number of PB’s set for the night, especially considering our long break from training!
The results are attached below, by event and by swimmer. The times have also been uploaded to Swim Central.
A big thank you, as always, to those who helped out on the night. We had an excellent team of coordinators, marshals, starters, refs, time-keeps, Judges of Stroke and, PC/timing operators. The club nights can’t run without volunteers!
Despite a few technical issues on the night, and a few teething problems with the long course format, we managed to get through a large number of swims and had some excellent results. It was great seeing so many swimmers having fun and getting back into racing.
We are looking forward to seeing as many swimmers as possible at our upcoming Christmas party. Until then, happy training!
