MEET REPORT: School Sport Nationals- Tasmania, 2018

We had 7 sharks travel to Tasmania as part of the ACT contingent for the 2018 School Sport Championships from the 25th to the 31st of July.

Congratulations to Tyler, Sophia, Jarrod, Ben, Jessica (Silver), James and Eric. Our sharks had some great swims and added to their touring swimming experience competing with the other States and Territories. 

Tyler competed in the 50m and 100m FR, and the 4 x 50m Medley and FR relays achieving some fantastic PB’s

Jarrod competed in the 200m BK, FR, FL and IM; 400 FR and IM; 50m FR, BK; 100m FR and FL; the 4 x 50m Medley and FR relays; Boys All Ages 8 x 50m FR relay and the mixed 10 x 50m FR relay. In addition to having a full program, Jarrod reached the finals for many of his events, achieving 3rd Place overall for the 200m BK, 200m IM and the 400m IM. Congratulations Jarrod on a great performance and some new PB’s

Jessica competed in the 50m and 100m BR; and the 4 x 50m FR and Medley relays, achieving some great PB’s

James competed in the 50m FL and the 4 x 50m Medley and FR relays, achieving some solid PB’s

Ben competed in the 50m FL, FR, BR and BK; 100m BR, FR and FL; 200m FR and IM; and the 4 x 50m Medley and FR relays. Also filling in a big program with finals, Ben achieved 3rd place overall for the 200m FR. Congratulations Ben on a great performance and some new PB’s

Eric competed in the 50m FR and BR; 100m FR and BR; 200m FR and the 4 x 50m FR and Medley relays, achieving some great PB’s

Sophia competed in the 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m FR and the 4 x50m Medley relay; 4 x 100m relay and 4 x 50m relay, achieving some awesome PB’s
