MEET REPORT : 2018 NSW SC Country Championships

We had 8 amazing sharks compete at the 2018 NSW SC Country Championships including Amy G, Olivia H, Kurt, Jake M, Kiara, James, Jake N and Eric.

To put the championships into perspective, there were approximately 870 competitors from 81 swimming clubs across country New South Wales.

CONGRATULATIONS to all our Sharks who competed, and THANK YOU Coach Steve for you mentoring and support throughout the championships.

AMY competed in 4 events, including:-

  • Women 13-14 Years 200m Backstroke, placing in the Top 20 at 13th Place with a 3.80 second PB;
  • Women 13 Years 100m Backstroke, placing in the Top 20 at 18th Place;
  • Women 13-14 Years 200m Freestyle, achieving 21st Place with a 2.02 second PB; and
  • Women 14 Years & Under, placing in the Top 20 at 16th Place with a 1.5 second PB.

OLIVIA H competed in 2 events, including:-

  • Women 15 Years & Over 50m Freestyle, placing in the Top 20 at 14th Place with a 0.31 second PB; and
  • Women 15 Years & Over 100m Freestyle.

KURT competed in 6 events, achieving a 100% PB RATE, including:-

  • Men 11-12 Years 50m Freestyle, placing in the TOP 10 at 7th Place with a 0.21 second PB;
  • Men 12 Years & Under 200m Backstroke, placing in the TOP 10 at 6th Place with a 1.36 second PB;
  • Men 12 Years 100m Backstroke, placing in the TOP 10 at 4th Place with a 1.65 second PB;
  • Men 12 Years & Under 200m Freestyle, placing in the TOP 10 at 5th Place with a 1.61 second PB;
  • Men 12 Years 100m Freestyle, placing in the TOP 10 with a BRONZE MEDAL with a 1.62 second PB; and
  • Men 12 Years & Under 200m Individual Medley, placing in the TOP 10 at 10th Place with a 2.38 second PB.

JAKE M competed in 4 events, including:-

  • Men 15 Years & Over 200m Individual Medley, placing in the TOP 10 at 6th Place with a 2.14 second PB;
  • Men Open 50m Breaststroke, placing in the Top 20 at 11th Place with a 0.49 second PB;
  • Men 15 Years & Over 100m Breaststroke, placing in the TOP 10 at 7th Place; and
  • Men 15 Years & Over 200m Breaststroke, placing in the TOP 10 at 5th Place.

KIARA competed in 3 events, achieving a 100% PB RATE, including:-

  • Women 13-14 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 49th Place with a 0.57 second PB;
  • Women 13 Years 100m Breaststroke, placing in the Top 20 at 19th Place with a 0.47 second PB; and
  • Women 13-14 Years 200m Breaststroke, placing in the Top 20 at 20th Place with a 2.42 second PB.

JAMES competed in 2 events, including:-

  • Men 11 Years & Under 50m Backstroke, achieving 41st Place; and
  • Men 11 Years & Under 50m Butterfly, achieving 32nd Place.

JAKE N competed in 6 events, achieving a 100% PB RATE, including:-

  • Men 13-14 Years 200m Backstroke, achieving 21st Place with a 2.75 second PB;
  • Men Open 50m Breaststroke, achieving 48th Place with a 0.62 second PB;
  • Men 14 Years 100m Backstroke, placing in the Top 20 at 14th Place with a 0.91 second PB;
  • Men 13-14 Years 200m Individual Medley, achieving 23rd Place with a HUGE 6.41 second PB;
  • Men 14 Years 100m Breaststroke, placing in the Top 20 at 11th Place, with a 1.80 second PB; and
  • Men 13-14 Years 200m Breaststroke, placing in the TOP 10 at 10th Place, with a HUGE 6.44 second PB.

ERIC competed in 3 events, including:-

  • Men 11-12 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 52nd Place;
  • Men 12 Years 100m Breaststroke, achieving 21st Place with a 1.23 second PB; and
  • Men 12 Years 100m Freestyle, achieving 27th Place with a 0.20 second PB.
