We had 4 Sharks compete for the ACT Team at the 2018 Speedo Sprint Series – Finals held at SOPAC, Sydney on Saturday, 10 March 2018. CONGRATULATIONS and WELL DONE Lewis, Genevieve, James and Charlotte.
To put the Meet into perspective, there were 10 Regions competing: ACT (54 Competitors); Coast and Valley (77); Metro North East (137); Metro North West (93); Metro South East (114); Metro South West (88); Mountains and Plains (42); New England & North West (59); North Coast (73); South Eastern (61); Southern Inland (59); and Western (31). The ACT Team finished 9th on the team score rankings and equal 7th with 4 medals on the medal count. CONGRATULATIONS and WELL DONE ACT Team.
LEWIS competed in three events with a 100% PB Rate, including:-
- Boys 8 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 30th Place with a GREAT 2.43 second PB;
- Boys 8 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 40th Place with ANOTHER GREAT 4.24 second PB; and
- Boys 8 Years 50m Freestyle, achieving 43rd Place with ANOTHER GREAT 2.07 second PB.
GENEVIEVE competed in one event:-
- Girls 9 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 40th Place.
JAMES competed in two events, including:-
- Boys 11 Years 50m Backstroke, achieving 30th Place; and
- Boys 11 Years 50m Butterfly, achieving 26th Place with a GREAT 2.50 second PB.
CHARLOTTE competed in one event:-
- Girls 9 Years 50m Breaststroke, achieving 34th Place with a GREAT 0.51 second PB.
