MEET REPORT : Vikings Qualifying Meet SC – 28/29 May 2016

We had 12 Sharks compete at the Tuggeranong Vikings Qualifying Meet held over the weekend of 28 & 29 May, 2016.  Congratulations Alexis, Emma, Brooke, Amanda, Jarrod, Jessica, Kurt, Ethan, Jake, Kiara, Nicholas and Benjamin.  Some fantastic achievements to note:

  • Alexis competed in the Womens 200m Breaststroke event in honour of Novocastrian swimmer Jade Frith.
  • Emma won BRONZE in the Womens 400m Freestyle and GOLD in the Womens 200m Butterfly.
  • Brooke achieved a PB in the Womens 15yrs & Over 200m Individual Medley and a PB the Womens 100m Individual Medley.
  • Amanda achieved a PB in the Womens 200m Freestyle; and after a long break from competition, qualified for NSW Country SC Championships in the: 100m Backstroke; 200m Freestyle; 100m Individual Medley; and 100m Freestyle.
  • Jarrod competed in 6 events and achieved a 100% PB rate; won BRONZE in the Mens 200m Butterfly; won BRONZE in the Mens 100m Individual Medley; and won BRONZE in the Mens 15&O 100m Freestyle.
  • Jessica competed in 7 events and achieved a 100% PB rate; and won BRONZE in the Womens 13yo 100m Butterfly.
  • Kurt competed in 8 events and achieved a 100% PB rate; and won BRONZE in the Mens 10yrs & Under 100m Breaststroke qualifying for NSW Country SC Championships; and won SILVER in the Mens 10yrs & Under 100m Backstroke.
  • Ethan achieved a PB and won SILVER in the Mens 14yo 100m Butterfly; a PB and won BRONZE in the Mens 14yo 50m Freestyle; a PB and won GOLD in the Mens 14yo 200m Individual Medley; won SILVER in the Mens 200m Breaststroke; a PB and won SILVER in the Mens 14yo 100m Backstroke; won GOLD in the Mens 14yo 100m Breaststroke; and a PB and won BRONZE in the Mens 14yo 100m Freestyle.
  • Jake competed in 3 events and achieved a 100% PB rate.
  • Kiara competed in 6 events and achieved a 100% PB rate; qualifying for NSW Country SC Championships in both the 50m Butterfly and 50m Backstroke.
  • Nicholas achieved a PB in the Mens 12yo 200m Individual Medley; a PB in the Mens 12yo 100m Freestyle; and a PB in the Mens 12yo 100m Breaststroke.
  • Ben achieved a PB in the Mens 50m Breaststroke; a PB in the Mens 15yrs & Over 200m Individual Medley; a PB in the Mens 200m Freestyle; a PB in the Mens 50m Butterfly; and a PB in the Mens 15yrs & Over 100m Freestyle.
