Congratulations Emma!!!!
Due to Emma’s fantastic performances at the 2016 NSW State Championships and the Open Water Championships where Emma achieved Bronze in the Girls 17-18yo 10,000m Freestyle Open Water and 5th place in the Girls 17-18yo 5,000m Freestyle Open Water, Emma has been selected in the 2016-17 Swimming NSW Open Water and Distance (OW/D) Squad.
As an OW/D Squad member, Emma has been invited to attend three training days specific to open water and distance swimming. These training days will be held at three different NSW club programs and will be run by head coaches with proven experience in this discipline. The training days will take place over the course of the next 12 months.
This squad is designed to complement Emma’s training with Woden. It will also give Emma an opportunity to make new friends, work with different coaches and hone her skills.
